The pack includes: - Instructions on how to use colourful semantics to support ordering of words in sentences (this can be used to increase confidence in speech or to support children's writing). - 10 pages with three pictures on each page. Children cut out and order the key words into the subejct, verb, object order. Children should then be encouraged to read the words aloud to reinforce the correct order of words in English sentences. This pack is for children who are starting to use 3 key words in their speech or are starting to write 3 key words in their writing. It focuses on 'who, what doing, and what' so that children start to understand the subject, verb, object sequence of English sentences. This pack includes a simple story called 'The boy who lost his bounce.' The boy goes around testing different items to see if they bounce and to see if he has found his bounce. The pack also includes: - A sequencing activity using three pictures from the story and asking children to sequence the pictures. - A second sequencing activity using pictures of the 6 things that Jack tries to bounce and asking children to sequence the six pictures. - Instructions on how to use colourful semantics to support ordering of words in sentences (this can be used to increase confidence in speech or to support children's writing). - Appropriate pictures and 3 sentence strips at a 3 word level for children to create their own sentences about pictures in the story.
